About Ye Olde Wood Peddler

Posted by Shaun & Wright on 1st Aug 2018

Thank you for your interest in our sign language gifts. We have been in business since 1988 providing personalized gifts.

Our company, Ye Olde Wood Peddler, got its start as a wood working company in San Diego.

Our specialty is manual woodworking equipment from the late 1800s as well as expertise with laser engraving.

We started our business making custom wood names on an antique scroll saw from the 1890s. We used all manual woodworking equipment and created an apprenticeship wood working program for teens in San Diego.

Our woodworking skills were seen by a team at Sea World San Diego and we were invited to open a store in the theme park. Our team of skilled wood workers worked 18 hours days from Memorial Day to Labor Day - using only manual antique wood working equipment. For 8 years, we made thousands of wood names for tourists around the world.

With the addition of laser engraving machines, we are able to make gifts "the old fashioned way" as well as add personalization to products.

We engrave and cut wood, plastic, mat board, paper, cork, anodized metal, glass, fabric, etc. As we create new items, we add them to our website and can engrave names, sayings, logos etc on items and we do a lot of custom work.

If you don't see what you are looking for, let us know. We specialize in custom engraved gifts, laser engraving, as well as woodworking.

We are a member of the San Diego Finer Woodworkers Association and receive referrals for woodworking and laser cutting. Just let us know what you need - if we can't make it, we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

You can contact us via email at: aslgifts@gmail.com or call 619-244-1282 Pacific Standard Time - Leave us a message if you do call, we are often making items in our workshop and cannot get to the phone.

We are located in Sunny San Diego, California and ship nationally.
